Here's another film featuring brief cameos by the Boys. Hollywood Party was an MGM film from 1934 featuring all of the big stars signed to MGM at the time. Stan and Ollie made numerous film cameos during their long career, but this one is regarded as one of their finest.

ReplyDeleteI love them as if though they were family. God bless them.
ReplyDeleteThis is hysterical. The dress is so sexy it could be worn today & the look on Ollie's face when she cracks the egg down his pants! Priceless!!

ReplyDeleteI´m from Czech Republic and some do not understand the words but also with their pantomime so brilliant that I understand the story even without words. And it's very funny! These gentlemen went down in the history of the world cinematographic. Well done, Laurel and Hardy.

ReplyDelete@jolicia12 There are many comedians from the period that have been forgotten, The Ritz Brothers, Wheeler and Woolsey, and many more so forgotten no one can remember.
ReplyDeleteLaurel and Hardy were much funnier than them though, so they were harder to forget
P.S. I like your comment

ReplyDeleteI'm 18 and I've been watching Laurel and Hardy for years! I absolutely love it, it's so different to what you see nowadays. I remember i used to watch it all the time as a child with my dad and he used to watch it with my Grandpa! Be sure that I will be watching it with my child some day. It is sad that very, VERY few of my generation have watched or even heard of L&H. I hope it just doesn't get to a stage where everyone forgets about it and it is forgotten forever!
@ELECTRICCLOCK Especially back then. Hey, if you ever come across the spanish versions of laurel and hardy (where they read a spanish script with spanish actors), those dresses are also very popular.
ReplyDeleteMan three stooges, Marx Brothers, and Laurel and Hardy...which ones better?
ReplyDeleteSurprised the censors allowed that dress.....
